Batir-Bayan

epic drama based on a poem Kazakh poet Magzhan Zhumabaeva, repressed in 1937. Batir Bayan - a real historical figure, one of the legendary heroes of the 200-year war of the Kazakh people against the powerful Dzhungaria for independence, territorial and political unity of the Kazakh Khanate. After the poem, the film tells the tragic love for a young captive batir-dzhungarke.
